Dear Mr Stranger please Won't you come talk to me I'll only keep you for awhile I'd like to know what you Hope your life holds for you What in the future makes you smile? Someday maybe when we're old and grey It's a certainty, not discourtesy What kind of times do you think we'll see? I've a prophecy, Misanthropocene Life is an endless stream Of moments to move between What's coming up is soon behind Pictures in magazines Shows on your TV screen Will only distract you for a time One day as we start to fade away Inadvertently, an absurdity Who knows what goes and remains to be And all I foresee, is Misanthropocene In days to come We'll look back On times when all the world was young How did we let it get this way? I wish and hope we're not Frogs in the boiling pot noticing nothing going on I'd like to help you to See what's around you Open your eyes before it's gone Someday maybe when we're be old an grey An emergency, no fraternity What kind of times do you think we'll see I've a prophecy, Misanthropocene In days to come We'll look back On times when all the world was young How did we let it get this way? Dear Mr Stranger please Won't you come talk to me I'll only keep you for awhile I'd like to know what you Hope your life holds for you What in the future makes you smile?

Poor Timing 03:16
I was born and I found myself 'round here I've no idea what it's about I see people act so self-assured As if they have it all worked out They expect you to go forwards But don't tell you what it means That it's all just a matter of poor timing And a couple of lifetimes in between I've never believed in luck or fortune I've never believed in chance or fate Every opportunity goes by A little too early or too late When you get so tired of wasting Your life in your daydreams And we're all just a matter of poor timing And a couple of lifetimes in between Do you keep on the road you've taken If you don't know where it leads? (yes) Yes we're all just a matter of poor timing And a couple of lifetimes in between Too many plans all come to nothing Too many dreams come run aground And it's a shame for all we know We only get one time around

Through that open doorway thought I saw you standing there Oh tall and fair When I looked that way again I found to my despair In my time, in my time Once I was much older soon I found it out some way Oh what can I say But if you do I'll wait here too for you to look my way But in my mind, I know that... I, oh I must be wrong Yes I must be wrong When I think of what you said Well it makes me wish I was someone else instead I asked you once I asked you twice now won't you answer me Oh courteously Now everything seems upside down and makes no sense to me But in my mind, I know that... I, oh I must be wrong Yes and how can I go on As you fill up my head Makes me wish I was someone else instead I, oh I must be wrong Yes I must be wrong When I think of what you said Well it makes me wish I was someone else instead

Mary won't you please come back I never meant to lose you If you do I promise that I always will be true to you Don't you understand by now What does it take to prove to you You should know that I'm devout And I shall always choose you Cos how you call my name Makes me want to know that things won't ever have to change Mary I saw you last night With another one beside you I hope I've not got this right Oh I don't like being lied to But how you call my name Makes me want to know that things won't ever have to change Cos how you call my name Makes me want to know that things won't ever have to change Mary won't you dry your eyes I'm sorry to have doubted you It took too long to realise How could I be without you Cos how you call my name Well it makes me want to know that things won't ever have to change

And if you'd like to know How it made me feel to see you go And if I was tell you But I can't explain it now And if you'd like to see What it left me like to watch you leave Cos if you were to ask me But I can't escape it now Don't you know the thought that I... Can't escape the feelings that remind me I do ooh Sail across the sea Wash up on a better place to be And if you were to come with me Oh but can't you hear me now So if you'd like to know Just what made you finally let me go And if you were to tell me But I just can't face it now Don't you know the thought that I... Can't escape the feelings that remind me I do ooh
7.
I'd like to leave this place Go far away to a place that's safe Where people won't recognise my face And walk on by at a different pace yes I'd like to sail away And maybe come back some other day When people won't get on my case And let me drop out of the race now I'd like to leave this place Go far away to a place that's safe Where people won't recognise my face And walk on by at a different pace yes
8.
I'd like to get away for awhile Travel around, travel in style Bid farewell to my grey daily trails With a few hundred miles I'd like to catch the train to somewhere Utrecht or Prague, I don't really care I'll pay any price for my fare If you'll take me there I think of all the life passing by So close while I'm stuck inside I need to get away for a time Some time to unwind Everyday same places and times Any more and I'll lose my mind I need a change of scenery please Make me light as the breeze All I need's one weekend I'll be back to normal once more Yeah

Spent the day in bed Emptying my head of all of you But I can't escape the feeling I should have something I need to do But I've waited for too long For you to sing the song back to me, ooh There's nothing more to say Nothing more to see Waste the day away At least I have no other place to be But I just can't shake the feeling That my ceilings staring back at me And I've seen it in your smile When I spent awhile in your company, ooh There's nothing more to say Nothing more to see Cos I've waited for too long For you to sing the song back to me There's nothing more to say Nothing more to see If there's nothing more to say Nothing more to see

Don't let your love bring you down If it's the first you have found If you keep searching around You might find something out And if it's not your desire To hold your feet to the fire You don't have to feel so lonely, if you don't want to be It's of no use at all And if you think about him only, but you don't want to be Why not give me a call? Don't get yourself insecure It's not a question of more Why stay where you've been before? There's so much there to explore And maybe you ought to find out Before you run out of time now That you don't have to feel so lonely, if you don't want to be It's of no use at all And if you think about him only, but you don't want to be Why not give me a call? You don't have to feel so lonely, if you don't want to be It's of no use at all And if you think about him only, but you don't want to be Why not give me a call?

Please try hard to remember What it is you came here for How long until you find out That you've been here before And with just five more minutes to midnight Before you're gonna come undone But must we still fight for a minute Try to get a hit of that love Just take a second to think of Every place that you came from After so many cycles now How can it be wrong Now we've just two more minute to midnight Before we're gonna come unstuck But if we can hope for a minute Try to get a bit of that love Oh don't you know that you've been here before And don't you know that you need a bit more Nobody knows her the way she does Won't someone show her, what she's worthy of One more minute to midnight Going round one time more How many times have you realised That you've known this before Give me just one last thing to remember Before we're gonna come undone Can you just halt for a minute Try to stop the slip of that love Oh don't you know that you've been here before And don't you know that you need a bit more

Now that you've found what you lost, what you want, what you need (Need) Show me you know who you are, who you were, who you'll be (Be) Now that I've found her there can be no blunder What kind of magic has she got me under? I feel my whole world's been torn asunder I can't resist the spell that's coming from her I never knew what it meant until you let me see (See) And now I feel I'm between what is real and a dream (Dream) Now that I've found her there can be no blunder What kind of magic has she got me under? I feel my whole world's been torn asunder I can't resist the spell that's coming from her So now we know, make it show, let it grow, let it bloom (Bloom) Maybe in time we can try making one of what is two (Two)

When you're young and life seems endless Each new day goes rolling by Making plans up for the future Rarely ever crossed my mind What will we do when nights get colder So many pills to take, too many bills to pay Who knows, we could stay together Find new ways to pass the time We could have a house and garden Somewhere near the county side How we will cope as years go faster So little time and yet so many things to do We can save for rainy days and Never need to have a care Spend our lives in peace and quiet Living in the open air

Pictures of you Pictures of me There on the page Our memories Places and scenes Forgotten dreams In our photo album How the time flew People we knew Family and friends Days without end Now we're spread Living and dead In our photo album Happier days Old holidays People who've gone Separate ways All we have done When we were young In our photo album Take a look inside and see the people Be reminded of the past Many things that came and went so fast will Live on in the photographs

I'm not one to argue I don't really care But I'm sure I can find you If I'm searching somewhere I don't cast aspersions On the place you have found Don't get caught in the millions Swept up with the crowd Don't try and fake it lady Show me it's real I'm not one to worry I won't take the bait You get so lost in a moment That you can't escape Don't try and fake it lady Show me it's real Cos I have to know Cos I have to know Cos I have to know Cos I have to know Stewing is stewing Brew is brewing Fire away far away my love Overflowing Flower's growing Here today, gone away my love ...

Angelina, I hope you know, you reap what you sow Glad to hear you, are still doing alright, after all this time Cos since you've gone away from here No one wants to know But I could wait a thousand years You're old enough to know Angelina, you know you're wrong, you've been alone too long Angelina, and I come to find, you leave me far behind And when you've covered all answers Before you bow out of the show Just give me one of your glances You're old enough to know Angelina, oh don't you know, you reap what you sow Angelina, still I wonder why, you never say goodbye Cos since you've gone away from here No one wants to know, oh no But I could wait a million years You're old enough to know, oh oh oh You're old enough to know

It's easy to wonder It's easy to see Nothing you could tell me Could mortify me I feel I'm losing control So much for the turning If you know what I mean If it's there for the taking My conscious is clean Do you think we're losing control? It's easy to wonder It's easy to dream If it's there for the taking My conscious is clean We never were in control

So you've seen your life Flashing in front of your eyes And I hoped that it would be A taste of reality You've known it all of the time You keep it locked in your mind If you go looking inside You might not like what you find Hey Mister Mindbender Won't you stay awhile and have a drink with me You know possessions are fleeting And your impression's retreating Take my advice or ignore I'm sure you've heard it before A stretch beneath and you're freed It's all that you'll ever need If you go reaching below There's something that you should know Hey Mister Mindbender Won't you stay awhile and have a drink with me Hey Mister Mindbender Won't you stay awhile and have a drink with me

So you want to escape You've searched for your place And you can't seem to find Flash thoughts make their intrusion All lost in the confusion And away, away they slide We all fall down, we all fall down When you feel your mind breaking And you can't seem to stop the shaking There's an ache in your eyes Your heart beats are exploding And the whole room keeps revolving And you've no sense of time We all fall down, we all fall down Though you wanna scream and shout loud Something gets you traps you stops you from crying out And all you can think about now is how Long till it wares off and can you get out Each noise keeps on resounding And your brain won't stop pounding As your wires all get fried When you feel like you're being smothered And you just want to run for cover But there's no place to hide We all fall down, we all fall down All you can think about now is how Long till it wares off and can you get out Though you wanna scream and shout loud Something gets you traps you stops you from crying out So you want to escape / Your hearts beats are exploding You've searched for your place / And the whole room keeps revolving And you can't seem to find / And you've no sense of time When you feel your mind breaking / Each noise keeps on resounding And you can't seem to stop the shaking / And your brain won't stop pounding There's an ache in your eyes / As your wires all get fried We all fall down, we all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down We all fall down

Have you seen those space ships landing? (If I can see them so can you) In the garden so entrancing (In the garden we walk through) So many questions I have for them (Many things for us to do) Can you hear them calling for us (If I can hear them you can too) Here they come on the horizon Blinding lights up in the sky Through the trees you fix your eyes and See them flying See them flying See them flying Keep on looking out your window (Don't blink now they're coming soon) Watch the sky and wait in limbo (See the ship come into view) Who knows what they're like or planning (Who knows what they're going through) Maybe they will take us with them (Through the sky we'll know we flew) I don't know where they might come from Many trillion miles from here They mean no harm, no need to run See them flying See them flying See them flying Watch them come from the horizon Blinking lights up in the sky At the moon you fix your eyes and See them flying See them flying See them flying

It's over-easy and it's out of control I'm over-reaching but she won't let me go And I can't leave until she tells me so, oh no It's nice to see her coming out of her shell I think that maybe I might come out as well It's getting late but it's too soon to tell, oh well She's my natural high butterfly, don't let me go Dive deep spin and leap put on a show Oh where she takes me I still don't know, oh no Well it's all quite natural I know for sure I've really had it this time This butterfly is really one of a kind Why must it always be so hard to find, oh my She's my natural high butterfly, don't let me go Dive deep spin and leap put on a show Oh where she takes me I still don't know, oh no Well it's all quite natural aah! She's my natural high butterfly, don't let me go Dive deep spin and leap put on a show Oh where she takes me I still don't know, oh no Well it's all quite natural aah!

Rosaleen 02:49
Oh Rosaleen Who paints the moon with sorrow Maybe this time tomorrow night Can it be I don't believe in chance and I can't believe it's only Monday I'll tell you someday I really love you Rosaleen Oh Rosaleen Who breaks the veil of sadness To chase the tail of madness Ah Can it be So much revealed in glances I can't believe it's only Monday I'll tell you someday I really love you Rosaleen Oh tell me where is she I really can't stand the suspense any longer Oh Rosaleen Who paints the moon with sorrow Maybe this time tomorrow night Don't be uptight I really love you Rosaleen Oh tell me where is she I really can't stand the suspense any longer

One man's iron is another man's gold One man's hike is another man's stroll Though it'd be easier if they'd share the load One man's half is another man's whole One man's future's another man's past One man's feast is another man's fast They never see till they shatter like glass One man's first is another man's last One man's loss is another man's gain One man's pleasure's another man's pain They'll never learn so they'll do it again One man's rest is another man's strain

Play us that old swinging music Something to make us smile We could dance all night to tunes with That good old ragtime style There's no use in stressing so It never gets you anywhere Once your troubles meet the music They melt into air Play us that old swinging music In that old ragtime style There's something that can't be beat After all these many years Nothing makes you move your feet As soon as you hear Like that good old swinging music It always makes us smile Dance the night away to tunes with That good old ragtime style You always feel you've heard it before They don't write them like that any more Ah ha ha ha...

How many times must I try and still I get nowhere I've given it all I've got but still it's not enough It's a pity but it's true I know without a doubt There's nothing more that I can do – ooh I've managed to get this far but where to go from here? Oh you can't give up now Though set-backs knock you down If you keep trying you'll come through - ooh

about

This is the tale of Roland Salmon

Pounce upon a rhyme, Mr Salmon was an average height, average weight, average intellect of your average semi-detached, two bedroom, twin room, bed and breakfast holiday in Southend variety.
When one day, much to Roland's dismay his girlfriend Mary Barracuda done gone up and leaves him. Jilting him before their planned hiking holiday round the peak district, Hathersage, Stanage etc.
Rather perturbed to say the least, Roland asks his friend and confidant Simply Redwood to take him on a wild night on the town. “I'm rather perturbed to say the least, take me out on a wild night on the town!” said Roland.
And just like that they do. They go to the newest, hottest, grooviest, swingingist, hipist, establishments. They talk of many things, some happy, some sad, the furniture and the future. “I feel a bit useless” said Roland, “you shouldn't be so self-decapitating” responds Simply Redwood.
When all of a shudder a rather nice person comes over to make Roland's acquaintance, and would you believe in love at first sight? You better had for the plot to work. He falls in love with her and fantasises about their future together getting a retirement home in the lake district, North York moors, or the Yorkshire dales even.
They all get rather inebriated. “I'm rather inebriated” said Roland, Simply Redwood, and Rosaleen the rather nice person all together.

Rosaleen invites Roland back to her place for “coffee”. However, it turns out she's not really from Castle Donnington at all, but from Dastle Connington a highly advanced, intergalactic civilisation from near the Andromeda galaxy.
“What a strange looking taxi” thought Roland out loud to himself and those within reasonable earshot looking at the flying tea cup.
They have a very nice time together. Roland stays there for a couple of month, which is only four hours of Earth time, due to Dastle Connington's proximity to a black hole, you know.
After so many months, and despite the total state of planet Earth, Roland becomes homesick for beans on toast, BBC one, and being hassled by fourteen year old's whose language would shock a sailor. Thus he makes the journey home.
He meets Simply Redwood at the bar he'd left him at, only four hours from Simply Redwood's point of view ago. He starts to worry that perhaps he's completely lost the plot, his marbles and his loose screws, and gets a bit paranoid. However, by the next morning he doesn't really care, as even if he has lost it, he's still just as sane as everyone else down here. Thus all the characters end up in separate places, becoming the frayed ends of the tapestry their lives wove together for a brief moment in time. Peace and love, goodwill to all, and to all a good flight!
